This weekend, we threw a citrus baby shower for my sister-in-law, Chelsea, and their baby girl! Due to that same COVID exposure that kept me from attending the shower I planned for my sister last weekend, I unfortunately was not able to be present for this shower either which was a huge double bummer, BUT my mother-in-law and Chelsea's other SIL, Kathryn, pulled it off so beautifully!
We wanted a fun, summery theme for Chelsea and her baby girl, and decided on "Welcome, Little Cutie" complete with all the pink and orange details. We decided on a drive-by shower in order for friends and family that live nearby to come and safely say hello and see Chelsea's precious baby bump!
Kathy, my adorable and super talented MIL, baked all of the cookies in the boxes pictured below, Kathryn assembled the darling balloon garland, and I handled the invitations and banner design! We make a great team if I do say so myself, and I was so happy with how festive and fun the drive-by shower was! Later in the day, Chelsea had a virtual portion of her shower where she took everyone on a tour of their nursery and thanked everyone for all of the adorable gifts they received as a way to include out of town guests.
Of course I cannot wait for life to go back to normal, including traditional, in person, baby showers, BUT 2020 has forced us to get creative and I think we've mastered the art of virtual parties! We are so excited to welcome Chelsea and John's baby girl in just a few short weeks and spoil her from the start! (If you haven't heard by now...YES I'm getting a niece and a nephew this September and I might explode with excitement!!!!!)
