When you walk upstairs, there's a small little area that's not really large enough to serve a purpose. We left this empty for a long time until I re-used a chest from our wedding that we used for cookie boxes and now it's my gift wrapping center! It's filled with bows, ribbons, gift boxes and bags, and I've stocked up on greeting cards for every occasion because I always seemed to be running to the store last minute for cards! We mounted a large mirror above it that Corey made and it definitely makes the space feel much larger than it really is!

Off this hallway is the guest bathroom (seen in Home Renovations: Part Three) as well as the 2 guest bedrooms and the master bedroom. We did absolutely nothing in the guest bedrooms besides painting and ripping up the carpet and laying down flooring, and I'll share pictures someday when these rooms feel a little more complete.
In the master bedroom, we decided on an accent wall to go behind our queen bed, and I am just so happy with how it turned out! The entire project was less than $50 and is just MDF boards cut to size, caulked, and painted. We used Corey's laser level for the project and can't imagine tackling something like this without one of those handy things.
The crazy part about this master bedroom is we didn't purchase any of the furniture in here! The navy dresser was an old dresser that was chalk painted, the white dresser was mine from college, and the headboards and side tables were made by Corey for his first apartment! Also, the mattress was my old one from dental school, the mirrors were gifted, and the blue rug was a rug I had at my other house... so basically our PB quilt is worth more than everything else in the room combined, haha! How's that for ballin' on a budget?!
