MEET MAISY

I figured I'd take a minute to introduce you our precious pup, Maisy! If you haven't met her in person, well, there's a reason we lovingly call her "Crazy Maisy"!

She's a F1bb standard goldendoodle and we fell in love with her at first sight when we saw her picture on Autumn's Elite Doodle's website. We picked her up on April 14, 2019 (my 25th birthday!) and have been smitten ever since!

We debated for a while on which breed of dog to get, but we knew it would have to be some sort of doodle since Corey is super allergic to dogs! We went back and forth for a while between goldendoodles and bernedoodles but decided that a standard goldendoodle would be the best fit for our little family for a few reasons!

First, we wanted a dog who was large enough to go on runs with us but not too large that I couldn't pick he or she up and put them in the car if I needed to. We wanted a dog that would be good with kids and a breed that was energetic and playful! Goldendoodles fit all of those categories and so we started putting our name down on waiting lists in hopes of bringing a pup home soon! We sat on waiting lists for 8 months until were told about Autumn Elite Doodle's website and saw that they had puppies available! We couldn't believe our luck and decided to drive to Iron Station, NC the following weekend to bring our Maisy girl home.

Maisy was the runt of the litter and is now full grown at 47 pounds! For reference, her sister Scout was always a little heftier as a puppy (we love our thicc Scooter girl) but she's maxed out at around 50lbs too!

By the time she was 10 weeks old, Maisy knew her name, could sit, lay, come, place, stay, shake, roll over AND play dead. We were blown away by our smart little cookie aaaaaand then she turned 6 months old and pretty much forgot every basic command and all of her manners (hence: Crazy Maisy). I've been told by a ton of my friends that it's just a phase all puppies go through and she will outgrow it - so fingers crossed this is the case!

Maisy turned 1 on February 12 and since my sister-in-law and brother-in-law adopted Maisy's litter mate and beloved sister, Scout, we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to throw them a first birthday PAW-ty to celebrate the occasion!!! (Insert Corey's eye rolls here.) Keep scrolling to witness all the fun and over the top decor Chelsea (my SIL) and I put together for the pups!

We cannot imagine our lives without our crazy cuddly pup and love going on walks all over our favorite city and making trips to the beach with our dood.

If you want to follow Maisy on instagram, check out @maisy.dood! Admittedly, I don't update this account often but there are some pretty cute puppy pics on there that just might brighten your day!
